My name is Craig Poole and I am the Digital Content Manager for WOWK-TV, a local television news station in Charleston, WV. I have a passion for production, videography, and video editing.
As a Digital Content Manager, I manage our station’s website and social media accounts. I write articles for our website, post to social media accounts, clip videos from our programming, and utilize basic HTML and CSS. I have produced and edited videos for our social media accounts, our website, as well as on air. I am also responsible for being an expert with our CMS and training others on the CMS.
Previously, I worked on a weekly live studio-based sports show called Mountaineer Gameday. I served as an associate producer, assistant director, floor manager, and camera operator for the show. I have periodically done freelance videography for both corporate clients and non-profit organizations. In my final year of college, I was the executive producer for WVU News, a television newscast produced by journalism students at West Virginia University.
I am also experienced with setting up cameras, capturing video with and without a tripod, sorting and storing footage, and editing in Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas. I have worked on multiple videography projects both for myself and groups of which I am a part.
I also have experience as a skilled assistant with a background in data management, coordinating with multiple people working in different departments on varying projects, and preparing procedures for others to use without guidance.
